The India Women's Under-19 team is on fire in the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup. In the semi-finals on January 31, they comfortably beat England Women’s Under-19 by 9 wickets, securing a spot in the final.
England batted first and scored only 113/8 in 20 overs. India chased the target easily, finishing with 114/0 in just 15 overs. Opener Kamalini scored 56* off 50 balls, and her partner Gongadi Trisha made 35 off 29 balls. Even after Trisha was out, Sanika finished the match with 11.
The Indian spinners dominated the match, with Parunika Sisodia and Vaishnavi Sharma each taking three wickets, while Ayushi Shukla picked up two. England's top scorer was opener Davina Perrin, who made 45 runs.
Earlier in the day, South Africa Women’s U-19 team defeated Australia Women’s U-19 team in the first semi-final to reach the final. Now, India will face South Africa in the final on Sunday, February 2, for the trophy.
